Laura and Steven at Whispering Pines 10.26.08 - Photos by Trish

What a beautiful day for a wedding! The wedding was at the beautiful Whispering Pines Conference Center in West Greenwich RI, what an amazing place, I love it there! It reminds me of camp, and the way it feels to be there, relaxed and earthy. It was a day filled with good humor, deep tradition and lots of love, I felt privileged to be part of it!

This is the 2.5 mile drive in from the main road!
This is the lakeside view!
Can't you just feel it, 'camp'.
A little piece of bling amidst the nature.

I just love this setting, it's like a moment back in time.

Here Laura is seeing her friends from NYC when they first arrived, she was so excited.

After the Tish, the men encircle the groom and walk with him to meet his bride.

The women do the same.

Then they meet back to back and then see each other for the first time, it was so fun with lots of singing and clapping going on.

Then they signed the Ketubah with all of their guests looking on.

Do you think Steven is a little bit in love with Laura???

The rings, held by the nieces of the bride and groom.

It was a beautiful ceremony, and how about my 'fake backdrop'!

The rings.

Off into nature for some photos of the newlyweds.

I just loved this little porch on the cabin, it's so 'campy' and sweet.

What!

They were very cute and romantical with each other, obviously very in love!

See what I mean...

This is the front of the reception building, isn't it fantastic?!

Pam at Blooming Blossoms did these great details.

I love berries and sticks, they make any arrangement so interesting!

The first dance.

There is just something about this one.

I loved this mantle on the beautiful stone fireplace in the living room.

Hot stuff, being in front of the fireplace and all...

2 New Pieces! :: twigs & honey shop update

Just a post to say that I have two new pieces in the twigs & honey Etsy shop today! They are both so much fun and very elegant. I think both would be perfect for a wedding or any other special occasion. The hair piece features a little vintage locket that you can spritz with your favorite fragrance! The flower will smell like a flower and so will you. :)
Enjoy!

Velvet flower hair piece with vintage heart locket.

Flower and lace necklace/choker.

Julie and Ryan's Photo Lounge Extravaganza 10.25.08 at Warwick Country Club

Julie and Ryan had a great time at their wedding on Saturday and the Photo Lounge was a huge hit, as always! Melissa was there working the Lounge and all the guests had a blast!
See for yourself...

New item :: Cozy Wool Beret in Pebbles & Paisley

I think that handmaking lovely little things is contagious!

I'm so excited to say that my mom, who taught me so much, has handmade a very pretty wool hat with floral brooch. It is very comfy and warm! I have it listed in the Pebbles & Paisley shop at the moment. Be sure to check it out. :)

Like the top? My mom made that for me too! It is actually a dress. She knows my "office" attire mainly consists of PJs and slippers, and thought I would like a comfy but also stylish dress to work in. I like it!

Cindy and Ben at Astors Beechwood Mansion in Newport - Photos by Trish

After much delay (due to Blogger troubles) we finally bring you this wedding from last weekend!!! It was a lovely evening at The Astors for Cindy and Ben with 55 of their closest people looking on as they tied the knot after 15 years! They first dated in high school!

Another gorgeous arrangement by Joyce at Stoneblossom...

Astors is such a neat place, lots of ornate details. It's just small enough that it's cozy and really fancy.

Awaiting Cindy's arrival, she actually snuck in the side door!

They used these cute silhouettes from when they were children on their printed pieces. Great swirls too!

Here's our handsome groom waiting by the fireplace for his bride to arrive.

The ceremony was not until after dark, so photos were all inside, but I got this shot so that they could remember their location.

Cindy had great helpers. This dress was killer.

Yowza! Cindy looked amazing!

What's not to like about teal blue Manolo Blaniks?!

A little nervous but beautiful!

Ben is sporting the conservative look on the outside and the rock look on the inside.

The ballroom was so beautiful.

Frank Camara was the officiant.

Cindy's friend since grade school, John, the Man of Honor played a beautiful song on the piano during the ceremony.

Then the dashed upstairs after the ceremony.

They were so excited to finally be married! Cindy was a bit teary.

Not the most exciting shot, but such a great classic!

This on the other hand is way more interesting. One of my absolute favorites!

Nothing wrong with smooching in the foyer, lots of smooching!

Each table number was an important year to them, very cool idea.

Fabulous catering by Morin's.

The first dance.

Then they had the cutest wedding party dance to Estelle, a fun dance song. It was so fun!

Ben gave a lovely toast to his new bride, and he had everyone clap for his 'hot wife.' So cute!

This piece in her hair was so amazing, very vintage.

Mother of the bride, a dancing maniac! Isn't she cute as a button?!

Each guest got to take home a little box of sweets, yummy!

They also had a ColdStone Creamery buffet!

This is their 'snuggle' pose, more lovin' in the foyer!

These are my other favorites of the day, so cool!
