Happy weekend!

We are in NYC this weekend meeting up with some of our 2010 couples for some fabulous photodate sessions, 8 to be exact (we're sneaking in one pregnancy portrait and one sexy session too)!

Can't wait to see everyone and snap it up in the city!

So not to worry if the blog is quiet for a few days...it's going to be blowing up soon enough!

Amazing shoot coming up...

I just love the style and colors of an amazing collaboration in the works. Here's one sneak peak photo of a piece I shipped off yesterday (along with a few others). Have I ever told you my favorite colors in the world are peach and mint? Not pink or orange.... not green or blue... both are inbetween, but I love them:

Twigs & Honey veil + Elizabeth Dye dress :: Just like heaven

It's no secret... I LOVE Elizabeth Dye's work. You know she made my wedding dress SUPER fabulous, yes? With gorgeous lace overlay, details, and detachable floral and chiffon bustle/train... So, I loved seeing this pairing from the amazing photographers, Sweet Little Photographs for their Lovely Bridal Shop shoot. A Twigs & Honey Soft Light Lace veil and Elizabeth Dye dress:

I love this photo... there's a Twigs & Honey mini bridal hat on her shoulder:

I LOVE shabd's designs and in particular, I love this new dress for the autumn/winter 2010 collection:

Inspiration from Sarah + Sean

Last August Mariah and Lisa shot the wedding of Sean and Sarah...hello pink and green details! Sarah is a Lily Pulitzer kind of girl and carried that style throughout her wedding, a georgeous day indeed!Venue: Blithewold Mansion
Flowers: Sayles Livingston

Nila and Eric (+Sienna) Photodate in Providence

It was a gorgeous afternoon for a portrait, we met at Prospect Park on the East Side and Sienna the dog was raring to go! Nila and Eric are getting married in June and Sienna is going to be the 'ring dog'...of course!

Normally I would feel funny about posting more photos of the dog than of the couple, but in this case I believe that the couple will be excited to see so many photos of their dog, she is fabulous after all...

What's cuter than a dog bum?

She was all crazy when they first got there, but after a few minutes off the leash fetching her ball and she chilled right out. I love her ears.

A little snuggle.

Oh look, here are the people finally!

What a classic portrait, and thank you cherry blossoms in the background!

These two are so nice! They are both ER doctors, so I knew I was in good hands in case I incurred some kind of photo injury during the shoot.

I had to resist the head scratch since I am allergic to dogs, but you can almost feel the fur in this one...

The East Side has such great little scenarios such as this garage door here. Sienna is being such a good subject!

Adorable!

...and very much in love! They were locking lips every other shot, it was crazy, but so nice to see! This is my favorite from the session...

Here's your classic newspaper 'we're engaged' shot.

All of the blossoms were awesome! Spring is so fabulous when the sun is out...

Thanks guys! See you soon for the big day!

Weekend outfit :: It has been busy!

So sorry for being so completely absent on all fronts. I've been juggling far too many things and it may be a little *quiet* on the blog this week. If you've emailed or convo'd me, please be patient and I'll try to get back to you sooner, or you can resend. I'm so sorry about the delay. I've been working non-stop and it's been a bit nuts.... thankfully, I'll be getting some help soon and more on that later. :)
Here was my outfit from Saturday. We had a touch of sun and that was enough for me to bust out the shorts (new CUTE ones!):

Inspiration from Anne + Tony

Melissa and I had the pleasure of photographing Anne and Tony last November, how awesome was her dress?!?! Pockets AND a belt, seriously! Let's not even talk about those shoes, awesomeness!!! They had really fun black and white details to create a classic mood for their day. Which of course was rainy and raw, what else is new. The photolounge even fell down from the wind on the porch at the Glen, it was crazy! We managed to set it up inside kind of makeshift and everyone had a blast!Venue for Formals: Linden Place

Amy and Tim Photodate at Faneuil Hall in Boston

Posted by Mariah:
You'd never guess from this photo that it was pouring rain not an hour before...
Got to love Spring!
I really love all the flowering trees this time of year, and Amy and Tim were nice enough to risk and allergy attack to indulge me in the blossoms.

This little park is across the street from Fanieul Hall.

How cute! Just relaxing on a park bench before being spotted by the papparazzi.

Tulips and dafodills are also among my favorites.

Tim and Amy are getting marrieed May 22nd... woo-hoo!

Nice of the crowds to clear out for this photo...

Can't wait to see you guys in a couple of weeks. I know you are a little "camera shy" hope this practice run helps to ease the pain!

Kristi and James Photolounge at Oceancliff

Posted by Mariah:
The photolounge was a big hit (as usual) at James and Kristi's wedding. Here are a few of the highlights. Muchas gracias to Trish for making everything run so smoothly (oh and our sickly Jim who delivered it to Oceancliff despite his fever) so sad!
