Alexis and Joe - Kinney Bungalow at Sunset Farms, Narragansett 8-31-08 Photos by Trish and Melissa

I think I might be the luckiest person in the world, I think a lot of other photographers feel that way too. I get to go to beautiful places and do my photo thing which is so fun and work with awesome people, it's just the best! And of course Alexis and Joe are no exception! I was so excited to go to Kinney Bungalow since I had never actually been there before, although I have driven by it countless times and thought the same thing each time, "that place is so cool, I wish they did weddings there". So how excited was I to find myself shooting there on Sunday in the exact kind of light I had been picturing in my mind since they booked me, everything was perfect! There is a farm stand too, so it you find yourself on Route 108 in Narragansett be sure to stop there, it's so cute!

The many phases of Alexis...

With the bridesmaids on a cool branch bench.

Melissa was with the guys doing photos of them getting ready. She has been a friend of Joe's since grade school! Can you stand it?! Melissa was really a guest at the wedding but she wanted to take some pictures of the guys, her husband was a groomsmen!

Melissa's artistic photo of Joe having a moment, it really makes you wonder what is going on! (he wasn't really yelling, just being dramatic for a better photo)

The flowers were done by Elaine at Weedweavers in Wakefield. She is an amazing artist with flowers! She actually did my wedding and I still have an amazing wreath made out of driftwood hanging in my home.

More fun shots with the guys by Melissa...

How great is Joe's expression as he watches Alexis come down the isle (photos by Melissa)...

They look so happy! Because they are!

They are funny too...

I was so excited when I saw these bales of hay! What perfect props for posing...

So I was also excited when I saw the side of this barn and thought what a great backdrop for pix. Then as we walked over I was horrified to see this horse having his bath in my photo spot! So we came back in a bit and I got my shot.

This is so romantic and so them! They love to snuggle and smooch a lot.

The reception is on the second floor so you get a view of the farm and great light! Morins was the caterer.

Here's Melissa and her hubby, the famous Miles Lacouture... He looks good here, but he was acting up all day. I had to yell at him, and it was fun!

I think Joe is psyched!

Another Melissa photo of me getting dancing pix, I hope they don't mind that I stood on the couch! The people on the right look concerned...

At the front door...

When Melissa talked to Joe he said there was corn there and she screamed on the phone, he thought she was nuts. Then when I got there and saw the corn I was giddy about it. I think these are my first corn shots ever...

I LOVE this one...

and this one.

But I think this is the one I am most excited about, I'm crazy for it. Isn't it funny how the golden colors are back from the 70's?

This photo feels like the last day of August to me.

Here is the farm stand I mentioned, so rustic and fabulous.

How lovely is this place! Check their website for more info about the history of it.

You know how I love blue light, I was in heaven! Joe's mom made the cake!!!

This guy was the best dancer! It was really more of a video moment, but I had to include him and some of his moves, to good to miss!

Oh, and here is the lovely Melissa finally getting to get her groove on!

Smooching in the foyer...the reception is on the second floor, with windows all around.

As I was leaving I was struck by how bright the sky was with stars, you don't see any of this as you get closer to the city where I live. Dreamy...

Nick and Linda - Photo Lounge at Glen Manor 8-30-08

Well what can I say...the Photo Lounge was a hit as usual! Linda and Nick had us at their reception for Photo Lounge fun. This was quite a wild crowd, they actually took more photos that any other lounge event so far!!! SO many photos that the people who snapped their photos at the end of the night did not get their photos to take home! Sorry if you are one of those people, we are sending the photos on to Nick and Linda, so give them a ring if you are looking for yours. Not only did everyone have a great time taking photos, but I chatted with a few of the sharp business minds at the wedding and they think I should take the Photo Lounge international! So be sure to look us up in the UK next year! Cheers!

Allison and Andy at Belle Mer 8.29.2008 Photos by Mariah and Melissa

Friday was a spectacular day, and the kick off to our very busy holiday weekend. You may remember Allison and Andy from their previous blog appearance, i.e. their fab photo date in Newport. Well, we were in Newport this time too, only this time the shoes were a little more snazzy...

Allison getting ready, I love this shot through her veil.

Allison was staying at the Hyatt on Goat Island. They recently went under major renovations. The suite was really nice- and I was especially excited about this blue wall. Allison is doing nice "fashion posing" here. And I love the high- tech studio lighting of the wall sconce! ha-ha.

This is Brooke, the flower girl. She's 6. I got a kick out of her, my daughter is 6 too. Normally, Brooke does not enjoy having her golden locks brushed, but she sat very patiently for the hairdressers while they gave her an up-do. Nice work Brooke. Photo by Melissa.

Does this scream Newport?

This is St. Barnabus church in Portsmouth. It's very colorful. Here's Allison setting a dramatic entrance...

Sneaking a peek at Andy - very cute.

oooh...

Cliff walk revisited... de ja vu! (we went here for their photo date too!)

Allison was very brave to step out onto the ledge. What I really wanted was a photo of them holding hands and jumping into the ocean... I didn't ask because I figured that might be pushing it.

Arriving at the Island House.

Lovely details of Allison's orange accents... Photos by Melissa.

The ladies had on the coolest dresses. Allison asked them to pick between orange or purple- and they chose evenly! The top of the dress was made from long pieces of stretchy fabric which they could wrap, twist, and tie into any configuration. Cool!

The men... very handsome!

The whole party- and after this shot the kids have a total meltdown. It's a wrap!

The Fredette's...

A little snuggling between group photos... Photo by Melissa.

Allison is so pretty. She has a teenie tiny waist and her skin is flawless, not a bad combination.

So, after that photo of Allison, I turned around and looked up... what?!

These are the Wilson's. I think they might be photo- phobic or something. They were hands down the hardest group I've ever had to wrangle, they were scattered all over the cocktail hour and when I would get one or two of them- the others would disappear! But, it was worth the effort in the end for Mrs. Wilson to get her Christmas card picture!

Heading into the tent...

A little smooching before dinner.

Aaahhh, blue light.

Happy Birthday! A surprise cake for Andy's mom.

Good times. I guess Andy and Alison spend a lot of time dancing in their condo. Someone gave a toast and said that Andy didn't want to buy dining room furniture because then they would lose their dance floor. I think that might be one of the best things I've ever heard.

I don't mind getting into some precarious positions for a good shot. What could I possibly be doing here though? Photo by Melissa.

Ta Da! I love twinkles! The end.

I've been working on a couple big somethings...

...hopefully, I'll have more on this in the coming months. :)

On a side note, I'll be temporarily closing custom orders due to insane yet completely appreciated response over the last couple days when I reopened my custom orders. I'm hoping to open up orders again in a couple weeks. Thank you so much to everyone for your support and interest! I also have some traveling tentatively scheduled this month, next month and November, so I'm hoping come winter, my blogging will be back on schedule! Thank you to all the readers!
