Lisa and John's Photodate with Mariah in Newport

So after sickness, rain, and a myriad of scheduling difficulties... the planets finally aligned and Lisa, John, and I were able to have our photo date! I appreciate the perseverance John, not to mention battling traffic to meet me. I think it was definitely worth it! Thanks for the effort! Lisa has such a lovely smile- look at those gorgeous teeth! John is doing the "cool- looking off into the distance pose". Actually, the view is pretty awesome & John has a nice profile. I told him I liked his salt and pepper hair, he said, "thanks- I had it done today." Wise guy!
We had a beautiful day and perfect weather. I think we deserved it after being rained out before! Lisa looks so summery in her dress. This is what I had in mind. This spot is in Newport, on a dead end street called Ledge Road. I had to do a bit of schmoozing and pleading with the local parking enforcement, but it was worth my groveling. Anything for a killer photo!
Smooching is a must.
My favorite shot of the day, highlighting Lisa's diamond of course.
Wasn't planning this one, but John anticipated the good shot- and was working it!

Tall...dark... and handsome! 3 for 3 Lisa!
I love this wall! It reminds me of Mexico. The outfits were working too- doesn't even look like Newport.

My second fav shot of the day.
So sweet.
I just turned them around, so now the wall is at my back... is this spot amazing or what?!
I asked to John to give Lisa a little lift... I figured he can handle it. I think she weighs about 90 pounds, she's itty bitty! I think he was tempted to throw her in the water after this, it would have made for a fun photo- but maybe next time!
Can't wait to see you guys again in September!

Hilary and Josh Pre-Wedding Portrait at Mohegan Bluffs, Photos by Trish

Well, it was a spectacular week on Block Island!!! Everything was perfect. Hilary and Josh got married on Saturday, but we decided to get together last Wednesday evening for some informal shots on the beach. There was no way that she was walking down all those stairs in a wedding gown! Mohegan Bluffs is such a spectacular place, it sort of feels like the beaches of Hawaii believe it or not. Josh was pretty excited about getting some photos with the other love of his life, the Jeep! It's a 1984 cJ7 and he completely restored it to bring it back to it's original state, it looks brand new! Although they did not take me for a ride, I'm sure it's a blast to drive around the island in! Check back for the wedding photos in a few days...

This is a seriously steep stair case! I sort of thought I was going to die on the way back up!

But even the possible risk of a heart attack on the way back up is worth going down for, it's a magical place!

Right? Spectacular.

This side is rocky, but there is plenty of beach and swimming here too.

Wow.

I gave Josh the riot act about wearing sun block during the next few days before the wedding so that he would not be like a lobster-groom on his wedding day, he understood. The main thing is that both people tan, when only one person is tan it can look a little off in the photos.

Hilary is so beautiful! She has such a 'fresh' face, in a good way!

Got to love the walking off into the sunset...

...and speeding off into the sunset too!

Good times!

Random Photo :: Too cute....

Colleen and Alex's Photodate with Mariah at Waterplace Park, Providence

I had a meeting yesturday morning, and my newest Snap! bride Katie (hey katie!) told me that I have the best job ever. She's right! I do! I love it! Look how I spent my Thursday evening!!! What a gorgeous night, and I spent it cruising around on a gondola in Providence with Marcello (our gondolier) and Colleen and Alex- two of the nicest most easy going people ever! Did I put enough exclamation points in my paragraph to convey my excitement?!!!!!!! I met Colleen and Alex in Waterplace park for our gondola ride. Colleen told me they had always wanted to try it- and so have I... and so we planned our date.
Fisheye lens... fun. These gondolas are so gorgeous.

Speaking of gorgeous... and clever Colleen wore red and black! I didn't even tell her to do that! If you BYOB Marcello supplies you with glasses, icebucket, and nibbles for the ride.

I LOVE this photo, sunflare is one of my favorite tricks- I also added some texture to this shot to give it a Vintage feel. Colleen and Alex are funky so I know they'll appreciate it.

My view from the front of the gondolier- we are headed down river toward the hurricaine barrier and our Snap! office.

I like the shadow of Marcello on the wall, Colleen is artsy so she noticed it too.

Classic!

Romantical! Marcello approves...

It really looks like with could be in Venice!

Marcello pulled over so I could jump out and get these birdeye shots of Colleen and Alex- he picked me up on the other side of the bridge I was standing on. Clever!

Here we are going through a tunnel. You can only go thru it at low tide because the river is tidal and at times, there is only a few inches of space. We must have hit it just right. Marcello also sang us a lovely song as we passed thru the tunnel, it was very "phantom of the opera"!

The End.

Alex, Colleen & Marcello. If you haven't been for a ride, you must!!! It was a blast. Call Marcello for a reservation, you can get his information on their website, http://www.gondolari.com/.

Providence is so unique and beautiful. Colleen and Alex are getting married at the Cathedral and having their reception at the Biltmore on Halloween!

These guys are so sweet. Alex was only slightly traumatized by the photoshoot- but he did great! See Alex, I told you you'd look good. :)

Couple more smooches before we go...

See you guys in October! Can't wait!!!

Real Brides :: Lovely twigs & honey brides!

I feel so fortunate to do something creative, something I love, and something that allows me to work with some of the most sweet and beautiful brides! I have worked with several hundred brides this season, and I am always so appreciative when one gets in touch after the big day to send some photos along. It is always wonderful to hear a nice "hello" and to see how the big day unfolded. Congratulations to all the lovely brides & grooms I was so lucky to work with!! Thank you so much!!

I've been a bit busy since, oh, February, so I apologize for the light blog posts lately. I have many more beautiful photos to share soon! Here is a small collection. More to come on the official website in the next few weeks. One more note. Even though the busy part of wedding season is halfway over, I have a pretty heavy load of orders through October and I truly appreciate everyone's patience with me and their interest in working with me! Thank you so much!!

Molly & Bill's wedding was one straight out of a romantic movie. Truly inspiring and swoon worthy! Molly looks like a movie star, an actress... hmmm. ;)

By the way. Isn't Tim Will's work just amazing?! I took the last two from the fabulous blog, Once Wed.

Miyon very recently tied the knot, as in a few weeks ago! I can't wait to see more photos from her wedding. Look at that reception backdrop and the place settings! All the coordination! She looks so beautiful too!!!

Colleen, you gorgeous swan, you! I was so envious of her Melissa Sweet dress. I had been drooling over it for months.

Okay, here is my mini shrine to the beautiful LeeAnn. She just had far too many beautiful wedding shots. I had to share! LeeAnn actually had 3 wedding photographers! They sure had their hands full. LeeAnn and her hubby's wedding was breathtaking and there were so many beautiful details throughout. Enjoy!
