The internets are -a-buzzing with rumors that Karl Lagerfeld has not signed a contract renewal with Chanel. WHAT!?!?! I can’t imagine anyone else helming Chanel but Karl. This is devastating news, right? But wait, it gets even better. Alber Elbaz (currently at Lanvin) is said to be taking Karl’s place at Chanel with Olivier Theyskens (recently booted from Nina Ricci) replacing Alber at Lanvin.
